President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will travel to Buenos Aires on Sunday to attend the inauguration of Argentina's newly elected President Javier Milei, TN reports.
Zelenskyy's visit was confirmed by diplomatic sources in Ukraine. Although the Ukrainian president was on the guest list, his attendance was not initially expected.
If Zelenskyy does arrive in Buenos Aires, it will be his first trip to Latin America since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The invitation to Zelenskyy is also a clear gesture by Milei towards Ukraine. In November, Milei invited his Ukrainian counterpart to visit Argentina in a telephone conversation and even offered his country as a venue for a possible regional peace summit.
