As of the morning of 23 December, more than 4,000 trucks are queuing at the border between Ukraine and Poland. Four checkpoints remain blocked. Passenger car traffic is not blocked, Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Service, said on the air of the news telethon.

"As of this morning, we have four directions blocked, namely the borders at the Rava Ruska, Krakivets, Yahodyn and Shehyni checkpoints. According to the Polish border guards, more than 4,000 cars, trucks and vehicles are queuing up on the border with Ukraine as of this morning, waiting to cross the border towards Ukraine," Demchenko said.

He pointed out that only trucks are being blocked, while cars and buses are free to cross.

Also, the number of Ukrainians crossing the border has increased on the eve of the holidays.

"Over the past day, more than 120,000 people and cars crossed the border into and out of Ukraine," he added.
