The issue of amendments to the current agreement on the liberalisation of freight transport is not being discussed, the Ukrainian ministry said.

The ministries of infrastructure of Ukraine and Poland have agreed on an action plan to unblock the border, the press service of the Ukrainian ministry has said.

On 22 December, Deputy Ministers of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine Serhiy Derkach and Yuriy Vaskov met newly appointed Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Poland Pawel Gancarz.

The parties agreed on common positions to unblock the border and reached an understanding on compromise solutions and their implementation.

"The next stage is negotiations at the level of the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and the protesters. The issue of changes to the current agreement on the liberalisation of freight transport is not being discussed," the Ministry of Infrastructure stressed.
