In the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Region, the Russian army killed a child in one of the settlements. This was reported at a press conference by the head of the RMA, Oleksandr Prokudin, Suspilne reports.
"I received a message from a community on the left bank that the Russian occupiers had killed an eighth-grade student in one of the settlements. It happened on 20 December. They did it right in front of the family. The mother almost went crazy there, she was rescued from committing a suicide. It was a terrible situation," Prokudin said.
He added that the boy was allegedly taking pictures of something, the military grabbed him, brought him home and shot him dead.
According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the school principal wrote a statement to the police, and they will appeal to the Ombudsman and all authorities to record this fact.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor's office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the criminal proceedings over the incident.
Investigative actions are currently underway to establish additional circumstances of the incident and identify the Russian military personnel involved in the crime.
