On 16 January, David Lomdzhariya was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Defence Industry Joint Stock Company, representing the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence. This was reported by the company's press service.
The main functions of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board include holding meetings, organising the work plan of the Board and monitoring its implementation, establishing committees and coordinating their activities, preparing the annual report of the Supervisory Board and other powers provided for by the Company's Charter and the Regulations on the Supervisory Board.
"I congratulate David Lomdzhariya on his election and wish him productive work to bring the Victory closer and further develop the state-owned defence industry. I am confident that together with David Lomdzhariya and other members of the Supervisory Board we will be able to accelerate the implementation of the Company's key tasks: increasing production volumes, effective reform of our defence industry and building anti-corruption infrastructure," said Ukroboronprom CEO Herman Smetanin.
Since February 2022, Lomdzhariya has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrzaliznytsya, where he was involved in the implementation of corporate governance reform, including ensuring transparency, implementing responsible business practices and accountability. David Lomdzhariya has over 25 years of successful experience working with Fortune 500 companies and major international financial institutions.
In addition to the appointment of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, committees were formed and the schedule of meetings for 2024 was approved.
