Ukrainian UAV reportedly attacks Tambov gunpowder plant

An aeroplane-like drone was found on the plant's premises.

A Ukrainian drone has attacked the Tambov gunpowder plant in Russia. The attack took place on the night of 19 January, at the same time as the drones hit an oil depot in Russia's Bryansk Region, UP has reported, citing sources in the security services.

The sources said that the consequences of the attack on the gunpowder plant are being clarified. Russians wrote on social media that the drone had crashed on a site near the gunpowder plant's workshop.

Russia traditionally says there were no casualties or damage, but the plant's staff was evacuated.

"Putin has concentrated most of his electronic warfare and air defence assets in the Ukrainian occupied territories, and military facilities in Russia will continue to be worked on," intelligence sources told reporters.
