The Defence Forces' primary need is for artillery systems, and Ukraine needs to dramatically increase the number of units, DIU chief Kyrylo Budanov told CNN.
Ammunition is also vital. Budanov said that "shells are one of the decisive factors in this war." "Not so much the quality as the quantity," he added.
In Budanov's view, Ukraine and Russia are "more or less equal in the use of UAVs."
Regarding aviation, the DIU chief noted that it would be good to get American A-10 attack aircraft, which are already considered obsolete in their homeland. "This is something that can really help inflict a military defeat," he said.
The US Congress wants to remove these aircraft from the Air Force's inventory, even though they proved to be effective against Iranian equipment during the first Gulf War.
