Power outages reported in Kryvyy Rih as of Russian attack

A Russian drone attack damaged one of Ukrenergo's substations in Kryvyy Rih. Residential and industrial consumers in the city were left without power. This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo.

"On the night of 2 February, Russia launched a new massive drone strike on the southern and central Regions of Ukraine. One of Ukrenergo's substations was damaged. Residential and industrial consumers in Kryvyy Rih were cut off from electricity," the statement said.

It is noted that specialists of Ukrenergo and the State Emergency Service are inspecting the equipment. Emergency repair work will begin immediately after the inspection is completed.

According to Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, air defence forces shot down three Russian UAVs in the Region, but one hit cut off power to 40,000 users, including two mines.

"At night, the Russian military attacked Kryvyy Rih district with drones. Three mines were shot down by defenders from the East PMC. But there were also UAV hits. This led to a power outage for more than 40,000 subscribers," he wrote on Telegram.

According to him, two mines were also de-energised, leaving more than 100 workers underground, some of whom have already come to the surface.

Russians also fired artillery at Nikopol. They also targeted Marganets and the Myriv community. There were no casualties.

"According to the updated information, a 37-year-old man was injured in yesterday's attack on Pokrovske village community. He has shrapnel wounds and a fracture. The victim was hospitalised in moderate condition," added Lysak.
