The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has obtained a court order to seize the assets of former Party of Regions MP Oleh Tsaryov, who is implicated in financing Russia's armed aggression. The confiscated assets include an apartment in Dnipro's central area, a land plot in Kyiv Region, and two property complexes in Crimea, namely the Kirov sanatorium and the Princess Baryatynska Estate museum, where Tsaryov currently resides. The total value of the seized property is estimated at nearly half a billion hryvnyas.

This legal action aims to prevent the re-registration of Tsarev's assets to dummy companies, safeguarding them from further confiscation. The investigation reveals that, following the annexation of Crimea, Tsaryov re-registered his sanatorium under Russian law, contributing funds to Russia's budget in the form of "taxes." Additionally, Tsaryov entered into an agreement with a unit of the Russian Guard for the installation and maintenance of technical security equipment at two Crimean facilities.

The SBU has served Tsaryov with a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code, specifically for financing actions aimed at altering Ukraine's territorial boundaries. Earlier, the SBU had classified his actions under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code, relating to high treason committed under martial law.
