On the night of 1 March, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 occurred in the Reshetylivka district of Poltava Region, the Main Centre for Special Control has reported.
"The epicentre of the earthquake was located in Reshetylivka district of Poltava Region, west of Poltava city, at a depth of 10 km. According to the earthquake classification, it is a barely perceptible earthquake. The vibrations are felt only by some people who are in a calm state inside the building, especially on the upper floors," the statement said.
Earthquakes of similar magnitude have been recorded in Poltava Region before, including the most recent ones on 23 July, 8 June, 26 May and 14 January 2023 with magnitudes of 2.6, 3.7, 3.5 and 2.7.
