On 13 March, drones from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine attacked the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery in Rostov Region of Russia, after which the plant paused its work, Ukrayinska Pravda reports, citing a source in the agency and Russian media.
"The planned work of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine continues," the source said.
He stressed that the aggressor state uses this facility for military purposes.
Russian media initially reported that three UAVs were destroyed on approach to Novoshakhtinsk. Later, the governor of Rostov Region, Vasiliy Golubev, said that Ukrainian UAVs had crashed on the territory of the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery and that the plant's technological facilities had been stopped. At the same time, according to the Russian official, there were no casualties.
