In the first two months of this year, the general fund of the state budget received UAH 305 billion. This includes taxes and fees, as well as grants from partners, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said at a government meeting on 15 March.
At the same time, expenditures for the same period reached UAH 424 billion (only from the general fund of the state budget).
"That is, despite the fact that we have significantly increased our financial self-sufficiency over the past two years, we still need budget support from our allies. Therefore, first of all, I would like to thank the international partners who have financially supported and continue to support Ukraine," Shmyhal said.
He added that in particular, in January-February this year, more than UAH 75 billion was allocated from the state budget for social payments.
In particular, UAH 42.5 billion for pensions, UAH 17 billion for social protection of citizens in difficult life circumstances, UAH 9.4 billion for subsidies and UAH 3.8 billion for social protection of children and families.
