In March 2024, Ukraine will receive record budgetary funding from its allies for the entire duration of the war and the entire history of its independence, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a government meeting on 29 March.
It is more than $9 billion:
4.5 billion euros from the EU under the Ukraine Facility;
1.5 billion dollars from Canada;
880 million dollars from the IMF;
230 million dollars from Japan.
Also today, Ukraine received 1.5 billion dollars from the World Bank. "These are Development Policy Loans (DPL), which we will use for social, humanitarian and recovery purposes," Shmyhal added.
He added that these are "extremely important resources that greatly help our government to finance all critical budget expenditures".
