The Netherlands has allocated one billion euros for military aid to Ukraine and 400 million euros for reconstruction.

This was announced by Prime Minister Mark Rutte in a conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to Zelenskyy, this is additional assistance to the obligations under the bilateral security agreement. The Head of State called this step by Amsterdam "an exemplary example of support for Ukraine".

The President and the Prime Minister also discussed joint work with partners to speed up the supply of artillery shells, ammunition and air defence systems.

"I thanked for the effective Justice for Ukraine conference in The Hague and the launch of the Register of Damages as a result of it. I spoke about the preparations for the Peace Summit in Switzerland and invited the Netherlands to join. We also discussed the necessary efforts to ensure that this event is supported by as many countries as possible," Zelenskyy added.
