The government is allocating an additional UAH 3.88 billion for the further construction of defensive borders, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
Of these funds, UAH 1.7 billion will be allocated for Kharkiv Region and UAH 1.5 billion for fortifications in Sumy Region. Donetsk, Kherson and Mykolayiv Regions will also receive additional resources.
Since the beginning of the year, the government has allocated almost UAH 30 billion for the construction and equipping of fortifications. According to Shmyhal, the work is ongoing 24/7.
