A meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council has taken place with the participation of NATO Defence Ministers and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
This was reported by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in a post on the social network X.
The meeting addressed Kyiv's urgent need to strengthen its air defence.
Stoltenberg noted that "Allies have agreed to step up and provide additional military support, including air defence. I look forward to more announcements in the near future".
At a press conference following the meeting, Stoltenberg added that "NATO has identified available resources across the Alliance" and that "there are systems that are available to Ukraine," reports Yevropeiska Pravda.
The secretary general of the military bloc also said that partners could provide Kyiv with other air defence systems besides Patriot. He is talking about SAMP/T. Countries can also provide financial assistance if they do not have air defence systems.
"We are also working with industry to increase production to modernise the systems and make them usable," Stoltenberg added.
