President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. The meeting focused on the situation on the battlefield, weapons, protection of cities, communities and critical infrastructure.
Chief of Staff Oleksandr Syrskyy reported on the frontline. This was reported in the President's Telegram.
"The occupation army has a task to demonstrate at least some victories by 9 May, regardless of its losses. Now they are also being pushed by the positive decisions of friends of Ukraine. It's hard for our soldiers, but the receipt of the necessary assistance will level the situation. That's why we need support with specific weapons that our partners have," he said in a statement.
They also discussed domestic production, with Defence Minister Rustem Umerov reporting on this.
"We are working on a new format of agreements that, on the one hand, will not overburden the military budget, and on the other hand, will guarantee long-term state obligations to manufacturers," the president commented.
Zelenskyy instructed the Chiefs of Staff to collect all intelligence data on the intentions of Russian terrorists to destroy civilian infrastructure and prepare a comprehensive plan of further actions for the next meeting (which often takes place on Mondays): strengthening physical defence, redistribution of air defence systems and decentralisation.
