On the night of 29 April, Polish protesters unblocked all border crossings with Ukraine. However, there are still restrictions on the entry of trucks with grain to Poland.
This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the State Border Guard Service.
According to the ministry, negotiations between the ministries and associations will continue. The parties agreed to exchange monthly figures on the transit of agricultural products to monitor the situation.
Border guards added that, according to available information, trucks transporting grain crops will not be allowed to enter Poland. Such cargoes can only move through Poland in transit mode.
At present, there is no accumulation of trucks from the neighbouring country, and trucks leaving Ukraine are moving through the e-queue.
The next meeting of the Ukrainian and Polish agriculture ministers is scheduled for 7 May, where they will discuss the terms of cooperation in the summer.
Mykola Solskyy, head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture, thanked his Polish colleagues for their productive work.
"We express our gratitude to the Polish Ministry for its constructive work to unblock the border. We also sent a message to the industry associations of both countries. The ongoing negotiations were not easy, but the main thing is that we have a result," Solskyy said.
