On the night of 12 May, a drone attacked the Volgograd oil refinery. A fire broke out. According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, two Tochka-U tactical missiles were intercepted over the territory of the Belgorod Region. This was reported by Radio Liberty.
Volgograd Region Governor Andrey Bocharov said that there were no casualties as a result of the drone strike and that the refinery did not suffer any serious damage.
In total, four Russian Regions were attacked from the air that night. Over the Bryansk Region, air defence forces allegedly destroyed three drones, and two more over the Lipetsk Region. According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, two Tochka-U tactical missiles were allegedly intercepted over the territory of the Belgorod Region.
UAVs also attacked Shebekino in the Belgorod Region. Power lines were damaged there, and the city and a number of villages lost power. Alarms were heard there in the morning.
