Today, on 10 May, the border communities of the Kharkiv Region are under intensified massive hostile attacks. Civilians have been killed and wounded.
At 9:45 a.m., Russians fired on Buhayivka in the Vovchansk community. A private house was damaged there, but there were no casualties, said Oleh Synyehubov, head of the RMA.
At around 10 am, the enemy shelled Vovchansk, wounding two people.
At 12:50 a 55-year-old civilian man died as a result of shelling of the village of Cherkaski Tyshky.
"13:22 Vovchansk. The occupant struck a private house - a 60-year-old woman was wounded. At the same time, a civilian man died as a result of hostile shelling of a private household, two more were injured - one of them under the rubble of the house," said Synyehubov.
What is happening in the Kharkiv Region
In the morning, the head of the Kharkiv RMA reported attempts to break through the border by Russian subversive reconnaissance groups. He also said that shelling had intensified.
Later, the Ministry of Defence confirmed the Russian attacks. At around 5am, the Russians tried to break through the defence line. The defenders did not lose a single metre of our land. They repelled the attack, but fighting of varying intensity continues. Additional reserves have been sent to support the defenders.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia had launched a new offensive on the border with Kharkiv Region, Suspilne reported. As of 10 May, a fierce artillery battle continued.
