A woman was killed and her granddaughter was injured as a result of artillery shelling of the Esman community in Sumy Region, the Prosecutor General's Office reports. According to the investigation, on 10 May 2024, from 07:10, the Russian military shelled the civilian infrastructure of the Esman community in the Shostka district with artillery for an hour.
The Russian attack killed a 64-year-old woman and injured her 17-year-old granddaughter.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the shelling.
