The United States of America supports the Peace Summit in Switzerland, but cannot yet say at what level it will be represented.
This was stated by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at a briefing in Kyiv.
He noted that the United States is working to make the summit a success.
"Indeed, we think the heads of state will sign an agreement," Blinken said.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that a "trusting dialogue" had been established between the US and Ukrainian presidents, but Kyiv would not say whether the US president would come to sign a security agreement with Ukraine.
On 14 May, Blinken arrived in Kyiv. According to officials close to the top US diplomat, the purpose of the visit is to "send a strong reassuring message to Ukrainians who are going through a difficult time".
- Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that it was important for Ukraine that US President Joe Biden take part in the Peace Summit.
