Romanian President Klaus Iohannis was planning to attend the Global Peace Summit but was unable to do so.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this on the sidelines of the Global Peace Summit, an LB.ua correspondent reports. Romania is represented at the summit by Foreign Minister Luminica Odobescu, although Johannis had previously confirmed that he would attend.
"The president was planning to attend. There are objective reasons why he could not come. We understood them and have no complaints," he said.
- The Global Peace Summit is attended by 92 countries, of which 57 are represented at the highest level. Eight organisations are also represented at the summit.
