The United States of America has imposed sanctions on the management of the Russian company Kaspersky Lab.
This was reported by the US Treasury Department.
The list includes 12 people who hold senior positions in the company.
"Today's actions against Kaspersky Lab's management underscore our commitment to ensuring the integrity of cyberspace and protecting our citizens from malicious cyber threats. The United States will take action as necessary to hold accountable those who would facilitate or otherwise enable such activities," said Deputy Treasury Secretary Brian Nelson.
The U.S. Department of Commerce has added Kaspersky Lab, Kaspersky Group LLC (Russia) and Kaspersky Labs Limited (UK) to the list of entities for their cooperation with the Russian military and intelligence agencies in support of the Russian government's cyber intelligence objectives.
The sanctions list includes members of the board of directors Andrey Tikhonov, Danylo Borshchov, Andrey Yefremov, Ihor Chekunov, Andrey Dukhvalov, Andrey Suvorov, Denis Zenkin, Marina Alexeyeva, Mikhail Herber and others.
