The EU Council on Tuesday, 25 June, approved a draft bilateral security agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. This was announced by Belgian Foreign Minister Aja Labib at a press conference, Ukrinform reports.
"This morning, the EU Council approved a draft joint security commitment between the European Union and Ukraine," the Belgian Foreign Minister said.
Preparations are underway for the next EU Council summit, which will take place at the end of the week in Brussels. This meeting "will give a complete picture of our support for Ukraine in all its manifestations," Lyabib stressed.
At the same time, the Foreign Minister did not provide details of the agreement or the exact date of signing.
