On the night of 27 June 2024, the Russian military launched an air strike against Ukraine using air- and sea-launched missiles and 23 Shahed-type attack UAVs.
This was reported by the Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.
In total, Russians used 6 missiles of various types and 23 attack UAVs:
- 1 X-47 M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile, which was launched from the airspace of the Tambov Region of the Russian Federation.
- 4 Kalibr cruise missiles. They were fired from the north-eastern part of the Black Sea.
- 1 X-59/X-69 guided missile, which was launched from the airspace of the Kursk Region of the Russian Federation.
- 23 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs. The launch area was Primorsko-Akhtarsk of the Russian Federation.
As a result of the air battle, 28 air targets were shot down:
- 4 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 1 X-59/X-69 guided missile;
- 23 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs.
