Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries and Industry of Ukraine Anna Hvozdyar said that Ukraine could produce more than three million drones a year, Suspilne reports.
According to her, the state has sufficient production capacity and cooperation with international partners.
"We have sufficiently large production capacity, we can produce more than 3 million drones of various types today. To do this, we need funding," says Hvozdar.
She notes that the state can only cover part of these needs, and the rest is covered by foreign partners. In particular, Canada has agreed to buy some Ukrainian-made drones for the Ukrainian army. Negotiations are also underway with other countries, including the United Kingdom.
"We have developed enough capacity, both public and private, to produce various types of products for drones. More than a million drones means that they need more than a million rounds of ammunition," Hvozdar said.
The Ministry of Defence is currently working on a line of drones with ammunition that the Ukrainian army needs. The issue of their unification will be discussed next. Hvozdyar added that different drones are needed for different needs.
