Russians attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Voronezh Region, four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the occupied Donetsk Region and 52 Shahed attack drones from Kursk Region on 31 August, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.
Air defences were deployed in Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolayiv and Sumy Regions.
As a result of the air battle, the following were shot down:
- 24 Shahed drones,
- 25 drones were lost in the area (they crashed on their own).
Two drones flew in the direction of Russia, and another one flew to the Republic of Belarus.
