Shelling in Kharkiv: 59 civilians reported wounded, minor among dead (updated)

Five locations in the regional centre came under fire.

On 30 August, the occupiers struck at Kharkiv, Oleh Synyehubov said

According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the Russians attacked the city with KABs.

The head of Kharkiv Region later reported that the enemy hit five locations in Kharkiv:

  • Industrial district, a 12-storey building. Five cars were damaged, three people were killed.
  • The central part of the city. A hit to the ground, grass catching fire.
  • Industrial district. A 14-year-old girl died, there are four more injured.
  • Slobidskyy district. A hit to a warehouse building. Two victims.
  • Slobidskyy district. Three houses were damaged. Six people were injured.

Seven dead and 59 wounded are known, including nine children aged 5 to 16. Among the dead is a 14-year-old girl Sophia.

Synyehubov added that 20 of the injured are in serious or extremely serious condition.

"There are victims with amputations. One of the wounded died in a medical facility. There may be people on the upper floors of the building where the shell hit, at least one woman. There is a risk of the building being destroyed. All specialised services are working in an enhanced mode," said the head of the RMA.

The prosecutor's office noted that the Russians launched five KABs from a Su-34 from the territory of Belgorod Region, 25 km from the state border.
