In Kyiv, near St Michael's Cathedral, three unidentified men attacked a church representative, who is also a military officer.
This was reported by the police. Law enforcement officers learned about the attack from a telegram channel.
"The Kyiv police are establishing the circumstances of the incident involving a clergyman in the centre of the capital," law enforcement officers said.
The police are checking the information about the attack. An investigative team arrived at the site and is talking to the victim.
According to social media, the victim is a chaplain, Metropolitan Klyment of Simferopol and Crimea. At around 11 p.m., he was walking to St Michael's Monastery, to his cell. Three people approached him and asked for his blessing, after which they began to beat him. Klyment believes that the attack was planned.
