Russian troops in Sumy Region killed two people and wounded two others, the National Police reports.
Later, the prosecutor's office clarified that a 73-year-old man and his 72-year-old wife were killed in the attack. Another retired couple were injured and hospitalised. A 66-year-old woman died in hospital some time later.
Over the past day, Russians fired on 42 settlements in Sumy Region using various types of weapons. A total of 149 strikes were recorded.
The shelling killed two people, injured two others, and damaged nine private houses, three outbuildings, a hospital and a farm.
Police investigators initiated criminal proceedings over the incidents under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, "Violation of the laws and customs of war".
