On the night of 21 September, the Defence Forces shot down 5 X-59/69 guided missiles and 11 Shaheds.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"On the night of 21 September 2024, the Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and escorted 25 enemy air attack means," the statement said.
Russian military attacked Dnipropetrovsk Region with four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the occupied Crimea and Rostov Region and five X-59/69 guided missiles from the airspace of the TOT in Zaporizhzhya Region.
Also, 16 Shahed attack UAVs were launched from Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk in the Russian Federation.
As a result of the air battle, five X-59/69 guided missiles and 11 attack UAVs were shot down. Another five drones were lost.
Air defences were operating in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Poltava, Odesa and Mykolayiv Regions.
