The Ukrainian Defence Industry Joint Stock Company has reached cooperation agreements with four Western arms companies. This was reported by the company's press service.

This took place during the second International Defence Industries Forum, which was attended by representatives of about 300 companies from more than 30 countries.

"Ukraine is gradually becoming one of the world's leading arms manufacturers, and the defence industry is developing rapidly. For example, in the first half of this year, domestic arms manufacturers produced 25 times more ammunition for artillery and mortars than in the whole of 2022. The capacity of drone manufacturers is 4 million units, and more than 1.5 million have already been contracted.

"Thanks to the defence industry, Ukraine is set to become one of the key global security contributors and a very strong player in the global arms and defence technology market. Everyone who is with us, who is with Ukraine, I am sure, will win," said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

At the forum, Ukroboronprom signed partnership documents with arms companies from the US, France and Poland. These include cooperation in the areas of ammunition and special chemicals, unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as electronic intelligence and electronic warfare.

"Next, we will work to ensure that the signed agreements turn into real Ukrainian weapons and the latest military technologies. Into strikes against the enemy - common to all of us. And into victory," said Herman Smetanin, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
