Russians attack Ukraine with 105 UAVs

Air defence shot down 78 drones, 23 were lost in the area, and one flew to Belarus. 

The Russian army attacked Ukraine with 105 Shahed-type strike UAVs at night of 3 October. Russian military launched drones from Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk Regions and Cape Chauda (occupied Crimea).

Ukrainian defenders shot down 78 drones, one flew towards Belarus, and 23 more were lost in different Regions. The Air Force reported on Telegram that it was allegedly due to electronic warfare.

"The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine," the Air Force said.

The air defence system was operating in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsya, Khmelnytskyy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kherson, Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk Regions.
