Ukraine and South Korea used to be cautious about arms supplies, but now Kyiv will ask for weapons.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with South Korean TV channel KBS.

According to the President, Seoul provides humanitarian and medical assistance. However, due to the intervention of the DPRK, the issue of weapons has also arisen.

‘After North Korea has received the real official status of people who came to fight against Ukrainian citizens, our request will be detailed. It will be together with my representative, who will come to South Korea in the near future. And we will talk about weapons,’ Zelenskyy said.

He added that he did not know ‘what South Korea would answer me’.

‘But we would very much like to be helped. Yes, including artillery, air defence, and some other unofficial important things,’ the Ukrainian president said.

Zelenskyy also commented on the biased attitude of South Korean citizens towards military support for Ukraine. He said that this is not only our country's war, as the DPRK has enlisted the support of Russia.

‘You can't expect that, in my opinion. You need strong allies who, if Russia supports North Korea, will be with you. You cannot be alone against North Korea with Russia. You will have what we have,’ the head of state said.
