On the night of 2 November, Ukraine's air defence forces shot down 39 enemy attack drones.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
The invaders attacked the territory of Ukraine with an X-31P guided missile from the airspace of the Belgorod Region and 71 Shahed-type attack UAVs and unidentified drones from the directions of Orel and Kursk.
As of 11.00 a.m., 39 enemy UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Sumy and Poltava Regions. 21 drones were locally lost, and 5 UAVs returned to Russia.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defence Forces.
As of 11.00 a.m., there are about 5 more attack UAVs in the air. Combat operations are ongoing. The information is being verified and updated.
According to preliminary data, as a result of the Russian attack, apartment buildings and private houses in Sumy, Poltava, Kyiv and Odesa Regions were damaged by falling debris.
