Russian troops have focused their main efforts on the Pokrovsk, Kupyansk, Kurakhiv and Vremivsk directions, while the enemy has reduced the use of heavy equipment, drones and aircraft due to deteriorating weather conditions.
This was announced on air by the spokesman for the Khortytsya Joint Forces Operation Centre Nazar Voloshyn, Ukrinform reports.
‘The situation remains tense in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsya operational and strategic group of troops, but it is controlled by the Defence Forces. Fighting continues in almost all areas of the frontline, the situation is changing dynamically. The enemy is concentrating its offensive actions of varying intensity along the entire frontline. It is focusing its main efforts on the Pokrovsk, Kurakhiv and Vremivsk directions. However, the Defence Forces are also focusing on preventing the enemy from advancing deeper into the territory of our country,’ Voloshyn said.
Over the past day, 180 firefights took place in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsya Joint Forces Operation Centre, with the enemy conducting the most attacks in the Kupianske, Pokrovsk, Kurakhiv and Vremivsk directions.
Since the morning of 29 November, 16 combat engagements have taken place, the occupiers have carried out 4 air strikes, using 6 guided aerial bombs, several kamikaze drone strikes and fired over 550 times at Ukrainian troops' positions using various types of weapons.
Due to the deteriorating weather conditions, the enemy reduced the use of equipment, drones and aircraft. The enemy army is using the darkness of the day to pull up reserves.
According to him, the enemy has recently begun to pull up heavy armoured vehicles to support its assault groups.
‘The enemy is trying to put pressure on our Defence Forces. The concentration of the enemy's reserves of personnel and equipment is observed in the Kupyansk, Pokrovsk, Kurakhiv and Vremivsk directions. The Russian military command is forced to use a significant part of its strategic reserves, which it has accumulated over the course of this year, to seize territories,’ the spokesman said.
Voloshyn also adds that recently, Russian soldiers in advanced units have been complaining about poor logistics and the quality of North Korean ammunition.
‘Russian soldiers are complaining about the quality of the ammunition supplied by North Korea. They are not flying to the right place at all,’ the military man said.
