The second batch of F-16 fighter jets from Denmark has been delivered to Ukraine, further bolstering the country’s air defence.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the arrival, noting that the planes from the first batch are already actively intercepting Russian missiles and protecting Ukrainian infrastructure.
“This is the leadership in the protection of life that distinguishes Denmark. The planes from the first batch provided by the Danes are already shooting down Russian missiles and saving our people and our infrastructure. Now our air shield has been further strengthened,” Zelenskyy stated.
The President also emphasised the importance of global solidarity: “If all partners were so determined, we would have already managed to prevent Russian terror.”
He expressed gratitude to the Danish people and Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen for their support.
