On the night of 7 December, Russian forces launched a missile strike in the Sumy Region and deployed 14 Shahed attack drones and other UAVs to target various regions of Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, as of 08:30, Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, and mobile firing groups successfully shot down seven Russian UAVs in Kyiv, Vinnytsya, Odesa, Cherkasy, and Zhytomyr Regions.
Of the remaining drones, six were lost locally, while one exited Ukrainian-controlled airspace and returned to Russia.
