Two civilians were killed in Kharkiv Region over the past day due to Russian shelling, particularly in the Kupyansk district, Oleh Synyehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported.
On the night of 17 December, at approximately 02:02 a.m., a fire broke out at a destroyed outbuilding on the grounds of a medical facility in Kupyansk following Russian strikes.
Earlier, between 19:20 and 20:12 on 16 December, Russian forces shelled Kupyansk with multiple rocket launchers, damaging 15 houses. A 53-year-old man and a 64-year-old man were killed, one of whom died en route to the hospital.
Additionally, at 17:08, shelling caused a house fire in the village of Nechvolodivka, Kupyansk district.
- In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces launched three offensives near Hlyboke and Kozacha Lopan. Meanwhile, in the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled four Russian attacks in the areas of Kucherivka, Zahryzove, Lozova, and Petropavlivka.
