Between 10.00 a.m. on 23 December and 9.00 a.m. on 24 December, Russians attacked Ukraine with 60 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of drones from the directions of Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

They managed to shoot down 36 drones, 23 did not reach their targets.

Russia's air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defence Forces.

"As of 10.00 a.m., 36 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones have been confirmed downed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk and Khmelnytskyy Regions," the military said.

Another UAV is still in the air.

  • In particular, on the morning of 24 December, air defence forces shot down two Shaheds in Khmelnytskyy Region. As a result of the Russian attack, windows were smashed, and the roofs of private houses, a garage, a car and a utility room were damaged.
  • At night and in the morning, the Ukrainian military shot down seven Russian drones over the Dnipropetrovsk Region.
