US President-elect Donald Trump will be able to offer an acceptable solution to Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin "in the short term".
This opinion was expressed in an interview with Fox News by Keith Kellogg, Trump's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, reports Yevropeyska Pravda.
Kellogg also aims to try to find a solution to the war in Ukraine within 100 days of Trump's inauguration, as they both understand that they have "little time" to find a solution.
"People need to understand that he's not trying to give something to Putin or the Russians, he's actually trying to save Ukraine's sovereignty and guarantee it. And he will guarantee that it is fair and honest," the special envoy said.
Kellogg also believes that Joseph Biden's "biggest mistake" was refusing to talk to the Russian dictator after 2022, while Trump is determined to do so.
"I'd like to set a goal, both personally and professionally, I'd say let's set it at a hundred days," Kelog said.
- On 7 January, Donald Trump said that he wanted talks with Russia to end the war, but did not know when they would take place.
- At a press conference after Congress confirmed Trump's election victory, the president-elect also said he hoped to end the war within six months.
