Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced that air defences intercepted three drone attacks on the Russian capital overnight.
According to Reuters, air defence systems were active in the districts of Kolomna, Ramenskoe, Podolsk, and Troitskoye. Sobyanin stated that all drones were shot down, and debris caused no damage or injuries. The exact number of drones involved was not disclosed.
Russia’s Federal Aviation Agency confirmed that flight services at Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports were suspended during the attacks.
- Earlier the same night, eight Regions in Russia and occupied Crimea were reportedly targeted in a large-scale drone strike, including an oil refinery in Ryazan, which caught fire.
