The Russian occupiers sentenced a 56-year-old resident of Enerhodar, an employee of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, Nataliya Shulha, to 15 years in prison. This was announced by the mayor of Enerhodar, Dmytro Orlov.

The woman was accused of ‘attempted sabotage in collusion with SBU officers’. Allegedly, in June 2024, the woman tried to ‘blow up a power line in Enerhodar to damage the power supply to the 3rd microdistrict’.

On 12 July 2024, the occupation law enforcement agencies abducted Nataliya and took her into custody. The evidence against her was an obviously staged video, which was spread on occupation resources, filmed in different places and from different angles by the occupiers themselves with the forced participation of the already detained Nataliya, said Dmitry Orlov.

Yesterday, on 5 March, the occupation entity Zaporizhzhia Regional Court found the woman guilty and sentenced her to 15 years in prison and a fine of 500,000 rubles.

According to Dmytro Orlov, there are a lot of such fabricated ‘criminal cases’ against civilians in the occupied territories.

‘Regularly riveting new fake cynical accusations, the occupiers continue to hold our citizens captive, forcing confessions out of them under pressure, and passing criminal sentences on them, calling it ‘justice’,’ the mayor wrote.

He also published a video of the occupiers from the so-called ‘court session’ where Nataliya Shulha was sentenced.

‘Just look at how Nataliya Shulha has changed in more than a year of captivity! What many civilians in the occupied territories are forced to go through so that another Russian war criminal can report to Moscow about the ‘heroic’ detention of a ‘terrorist’ and justify his stay in Enerhodar,’ the mayor wrote.

As a reminder, four captured Ukrainians and a Briton were recently sentenced to prison terms in Russia. The Briton was sentenced to 19 years in prison, while four Ukrainians were sentenced to 17 years. The invaders accused the defenders of Ukraine of a ‘terrorist attack because of their participation in the invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk Region’.
