Russia has a geopolitical forecast for 2026-2035, with an assessment of the consequences extending to 2045. It states that the “Ukrainian issue” should be resolved by 2026, said Vadym Skibitskyy, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, during the roundtable discussion New Contours of European Security. Otherwise, Russia believes it will not be able to catch up with China and the United States, RBC-Ukraine quotes the intelligence official as saying.

According to Ukraine, the aggressor country has outlined 15 scenarios for possible military conflicts up to 2045. Six of these scenarios relate to northern Europe.

Four scenarios involve Poland, but first, Russia wants to resolve the issue of Ukraine.

“Because if the war continues for another five to ten years, Russia will never be able to catch up or be on a par with the United States and China,” the DIU representative added.
