General Staff: Russia loses 96 cruise missiles meant for three strikes in March-April

Russian aviation fuel stocks were also destroyed.

According to updated data from the General Staff, the Russian Engels-2 airfield was hit by the Defence Forces on 20 March, resulting in the loss of 96 air-launched cruise missiles, partly due to secondary detonation.

These missiles were intended for three missile strikes that Russia planned to carry out in March and April, the General Staff reported on Facebook.

“In addition, strikes on aviation fuel storage sites led to the destruction of significant stocks, which negatively affects the Russian aggressor’s ability to support hostilities,” the statement said.

  • The Defence Forces attacked the airfield using drones. According to British intelligence, this was Ukraine’s most successful strike since the beginning of the year.
