According to sources in Ukraine’s Defence Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) launched a drone attack last night on the Murom Instrument-Making Plant, an enterprise involved in the production of military components for Russia’s war against Ukraine.
The plant, located in Vladimir Region, manufactures ignition devices for ammunition as well as parts and products for the Russian Navy and military aviation. It is also listed under Ukrainian and EU sanctions due to its significant role in supporting Russian military aggression.
Sources reported five explosions at the site. Preliminary information indicates that two buildings were damaged and a fire broke out.
“The SBU continues to carry out precise operations against legitimate military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation,” an informed source said.
According to the Astra Telegram channel, the drone strike destroyed a warehouse storing products and a checkpoint. The Murom Instrument-Making Plant is part of the Russian state-owned Rostec group and is considered one of the key producers of military equipment for various formations, including the FSB.
