According to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), the Russian military attacked Kyiv and its suburbs overnight and in the morning with one ballistic missile and 28 drones. The downed ballistic missile landed in the Solomyanskyy District.
Non-residential infrastructure was damaged and one person was injured. The fire was extinguished by 3 o’clock.
According to the State Emergency Service (SES), the victim was diagnosed with concussion in the area.
“According to the latest information, 11 Russian UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in the airspace of the capital and its environs. 10 left the airspace. 3 were lost in the area. Most of the Russian drones were aimed at the capital,” the KCMA said in a statement.
As of 8 a.m., two people have been confirmed dead – residents of a five-storey building in the Shevchenkivskyy District. They are a mother and son.
Six Kyiv residents were injured as a result of the drone attack. The total number of casualties caused by missiles and drones is two killed and seven wounded.


Damage was recorded in Solomyanskyy, Svyatoshynskyy, Shevchenkivskyy, Holosiyivskyy and Dniprovskyy Districts. In all but Solomyanskyy and Holosiyivskyy Districts, houses were damaged. Information about the damage in Holosiyivskyy was reported later. According to the KCMA, the roof of a business centre was damaged.
In the suburbs of the capital, in Sofiyivska Borshchahivka, an unoccupied new building was damaged.
