On the night of 23 September, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck several important military targets of the Russian army.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Thus, units of the missile forces, artillery, and unmanned systems forces, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck the 8-N Line Production Control Station (LPCS) near the village of Naitopovichi in the Bryansk Region of the Russian Federation.
The LPCS 8-N is part of the LPCS 8-N - LPCS ‘Stalnoy Kon’ main oil pipeline complex. The facility is of strategic importance for supplying the Russian army with petroleum products. A hit on the pumping and compressor station was confirmed, followed by a fire in the area of the facility.
In addition, it has been confirmed that the Samara Line Production Control Station in the Samara Region of the Russian Federation was repeatedly hit by unmanned aerial vehicle units. This is a production station where high- and low-sulphur oil from different fields is mixed to form Urals export oil. The extent of the damage is being clarified.
In addition, it has been confirmed that two aircraft at the Kacha military airfield in Crimea were hit. They were attacked by units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. The results and extent of the damage are being clarified.
- Since oil is the most significant source of revenue for the Russian Federation, Ukrainian intelligence analysts have identified the industry's weak points, and throughout 2025, we are seeing how good and not-so-good drones are taking out oil refineries in Russia.
