US independent publisher Laertes is preparing to release an anthology of contemporary Ukrainian drama. Titled Traumaturgy, the volume will feature works by 13 playwrights:

Most of the writers featured in the forthcoming English-language edition are military veterans or have other ties to the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
The anthology is edited by John Freedman, an American writer and translator who relocated to Greece in 2018 after spending three decades working in Russia. While living in Moscow, he worked as a theatre critic, wrote several plays and translated more than 100 others. In 2022, he became curator of the Ukrainian Play Readings project and also heads the Ukrainian Hope initiative at the Center for International Theatre Development.
